LOW SLOPE

dd's

A roof that is “flat” and is often seen on commercial buildings is referred to as a low-slope roof. Roofs should not be completely “flat”. They may look flat while on the roof, but to property drain a roof must have a slight pitch.

There are problems that can come up with low slope roofing. Most commonly these problems are specific to reduced slope and the difficulty in finding leaks that come as a result. Standing water is generally the biggest culprit of roof leaks. Aside from lack of pitch, standing water comes as a result of sagging roof sheathing and/or poor drainage.  Other areas of focus are roof penetrations and flashing.  Aside from an expertly trained eye at Go Go Green Roofing and Solar we use thermoimaging and moisture reading equipment to most effectively evaluation areas the naked eye cannot see.

Our experts at Go Go Green Roofing and Solar are trained to look at the entire building envelope when developing a strategy to repair, build or replace a roofing system.  We know that every roof is different and requires a carefully trained eye to give the best solution to our clients.
