ANTHONY, N.M. — A fire Sunday afternoon at an apartment complex in Anthony, N.M., resulted in water damage to the building.
The sprinkler system in the Franklin Vista Apartments doused the blaze before volunteer firefighters arrived, according to a witness.
A fire alarm evacuated the building after a heat sensor was tripped in one of the apartments, likely due to a stove fire.
No one was injured.
Fire crews from Anthony, N.M., La Union and Chamberino, as well as El Paso County’s West Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded. American Medical Response ambulance provider also was on the scene.”
